With his 20 years of vast experience in the Telecomm Industry, Mr. Babar Ali Syed holds the current position of Chief Executive Officer at WorldCall Telecom since 2008. Prior to this, he has maintained various roles in WorldCall Telecom Limited as Managing Director for over six years, Consultant for Broadband Karachi deployment, Chief Operating Officer LDI, ED WLL and Managing Director WTL. His key experiences include senior project management positions with Alcatel and project execution portfolio. He has undertaken major projects like 3 ADP for PTCL with a total of 400K fixed line exchanges, Etisalat E-Vision Project (UAE), DWDM Project Huawei for PTCL and ISP Exchange implementation for PTCL. His core skills include Defining and elaborating scope of work, Fiber Optic-Network Engineering and Deployment, GSM Network Deployments, Broad band Network Roll outs and projects rollouts for Telecom operations. Mr. Babar Ali Syed holds a professional qualification of Bachelors in Engineering (Electronics).

He has been in the IT Industry since 1992. He has served Dawood Hercules Chemicals Limited, Punjab Information Technology Board, and A. F. Ferguson & Co. He has also held Chief Operating Officer position with Worldcall Telecom Limited. He has professional degrees in Engineering, Business Administration, and Computer Science from UET Lahore, Punjab University, and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) respectively.
